WEO24 Webinar: People-centred Energy Transitions

Paris Time
Webinar

Background information

This webinar will offer additional insights into the socioeconomic impacts of clean energy transitions, including the need to boost clean energy investments that can support job creation and efforts to eliminate energy poverty and ensure access to clean cooking solutions. The transition is not only critical for addressing climate change but also for reducing air pollution and protecting consumers from volatile fossil fuel prices.

We will also explore the future energy landscape, including its implications for global temperature rise and how emissions are expected to evolve as well as outlining the role of international public financial and technical support to bring in much higher multiples of private capital. The findings are based on the IEA’s World Energy Outlook (WEO) 2024.

This webinar is part of a series on World Energy Outlook (WEO) 2024. Find out more about the full series and register for more webinars on our events page.
