The IEA has discontinued providing data in the Beyond 2020 format (IVT files and through WDS). Data is now available through the .Stat Data Explorer, which also allows users to export data in Excel and CSV formats.

Background information

International Energy Agency (IEA), in collaboration with the Foundation for Interoperability in Digital Economy (FIDE), is pleased to launch the report ‘Digital Energy Grid: A vision for a Unified Energy Infrastructure’ on 12 February 2025, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM CET. The event will take place at IEA headquarters, 9 Rue de la Fédération, Paris.

The report, explores the transformative potential of the Digital Energy Grid (DEG) as a unified framework to digitise energy transactions, assets, and participants, addressing systemic inefficiencies in a decentralised ecosystem. It emphasises collaboration to drive innovation and build a future-ready energy system.
