This standard covers household electric rice cookers and warmers with a rated capacity of up to 20 persons and rated voltage of 220V.

MEPS for the electric rice cooker is as follows:

- When its maximum cooking capacity, (denoted as 'N') is less than 1.08 L, maximum power consumption per person should not exceed -12.0*N+223.2 Wh and standard power consumption per person should not exceed -10*N+186 Wh

- When its maximum cooking capacity, (denoted as 'N') is more than 1.08 L and less than 1.80 L, maximum power consumption per person should not exceed -6.0*N+187.2 Wh and standard power consumption  per person should not exceed -5*N+156 Wh

- When its maximum cooking capacity, (denoted as 'N') is more than 1.80 L and less than 3.60 L, maximum power consumption per person should not exceed -4.8*N+175.2 Wh and standard power consumption  per person should not exceed -4*N+146 Wh

* Power consumption per person = Total power consumption (Wh) * [150 / Mass of rice in cooking (g) ]
