This standard establishes the maximum levels of energy consumption of home refrigerators, home refrigerators-freezers up to 1104 dm3 (39 ft3) and home freezers up to 830 dm3 (30 ft3) operated by hermetic motor compressor according to its type and its defrosting system (manual, automatic, semi-automatic, partially automatic, automatic long-term, automatic adjustable). See the attachment for the maximum energy consumption levels.The standard NOM-015-ENER-2002 supersedes the standard NOM-015-ENER-1997. The 2002 version sets higher energy efficiency levels for refrigerators and freezers, and adds eight new sub-types of refrigerators.
