The IEA has discontinued providing data in the Beyond 2020 format (IVT files and through WDS). Data is now available through the .Stat Data Explorer, which also allows users to export data in Excel and CSV formats.

Law on energy saving and energy efficiency

In 2017, with the assistance of the EU4Energy Programme, Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan started to develop law on energy saving and energy efficiency. The draft law on energy efficiency covers several energy efficiency measures and provisions inside including energy efficiency in buildings. Draft law also includes several approaches in the energy efficiency field like setting up energy auditing, energy management, energy efficiency services, efficiency in the production, transmission, distribution etc. Draft law is under consideration by the relevant government institutions and it is expected to enter into force in 2019.Draft law is still under review by the Government.
