The IEA has discontinued providing data in the Beyond 2020 format (IVT files and through WDS). Data is now available through the .Stat Data Explorer, which also allows users to export data in Excel and CSV formats.

The Ministry of Energy implements a four-year programme, "Promoting the development of energy from biogas among selected small and medium-sized agribusinesses". The programme was operational until November 2018. It is financed by a USD 1.7 million grant from the Global Environment Facility. Its goal is to promote a local market for anaerobic digestion technology for bovine slurries in medium-sized dairy farms in the regions of Los Rios and Los Lagos to mitigate methane emissions and provide a local energy source.The programme has three major components:developing policy and raising awarenessimproving technical capabilities and skillsinvestment and project portfolio to develop approximately 20 operating biogas projects in both regions, with a demonstration effect.
