The IEA has discontinued providing data in the Beyond 2020 format (IVT files and through WDS). Data is now available through the .Stat Data Explorer, which also allows users to export data in Excel and CSV formats.

Near-term Transportation Sector Electrification Program

The Near-term Transportation Sector Electrification Program will provide grants for conducting qualified electric transportation projects. The programme aims to accelerate the development and production of various electric drive vehicle systems to substantially reduce petroleum consumption. Priority for grants will be given to large-scale projects and large-scale aggregators of projects. Funded projects can be in four Program Areas of Interest: Electric Drive Vehicle Demonstration and Evaluation; Transportation Sector Electrification; Combined Proposals for the two previous areas; Advanced Electric Drive Vehicle Education Program. Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV) were emphasised within electric drive technologies to be funded under the Program.
