The IEA has discontinued providing data in the Beyond 2020 format (IVT files and through WDS). Data is now available through the .Stat Data Explorer, which also allows users to export data in Excel and CSV formats.

Poverty Reduction Action Plan 2011-2014 (PARP)

The Plan is a medium-term strategy to tackle poverty which has recognized the critical role of the energy sector in reducing poverty. PARP has given high priority to increasing access to electricity.

The strategy aims to:

  • expand energy supply services for health and education through installation of solar energy systems in rural areas without access to the national grid and
  • electrify all district headquarters not yet connected to the grid.
