Important message for WDS users

The IEA has discontinued providing data in the Beyond 2020 format (IVT files and through WDS). Data is now available through the .Stat Data Explorer, which also allows users to export data in Excel and CSV formats.

National Energy Policy

The 1994 National Enery Policy created the Guyana Energy Agency.  It aimed at the development of endogenous resources, including biomass in the short term and hydropower in the long term, as well as small, mini/micro hydropower, solar and wind power for remote and isolated communities.
