Important message for WDS users

The IEA has discontinued providing data in the Beyond 2020 format (IVT files and through WDS). Data is now available through the .Stat Data Explorer, which also allows users to export data in Excel and CSV formats.

Offshore wind tendering mechanism

Two tenders have been launched since 2011. In the first one (2011), 2 GW were granted in four zones : Fécamp, Courseulles sur Mer, Saint-Brieuc and Saint Nazaire. In the second one (2013), 1 GW was granted in two zones : Tréport et Noirmoutier Island. A third tender is currently being considered.
