The IEA has discontinued providing data in the Beyond 2020 format (IVT files and through WDS). Data is now available through the .Stat Data Explorer, which also allows users to export data in Excel and CSV formats.

Electricity Market Licensing Regulation

The Electricity Market Licensing Regulation of the Electricity Market Law (Law Number 6446) contains two regulations pertaining to the promotion of the use of renewable energy:

  1. The legal entities applying for licences for construction of renewable energy facilities are required to pay only 1% of the total licence fee.
  2. Also renewables based generation facilities are exempt from paying the annual licence fees for the first eight years following the facility completion date as specified in the licence. The Turkish Electricity Transmission Company (TEIAS) and/or distribution companies are required to give priority status for systems connection of generating facilities based on renewables.
