The IEA has discontinued providing data in the Beyond 2020 format (IVT files and through WDS). Data is now available through the .Stat Data Explorer, which also allows users to export data in Excel and CSV formats.

This programme is a successor of the "Solarthermie2000" programme. It concentrates on the support of pilot systems, enabling researchers to test their results under real conditions and modify the technology to develop well-functioning and market orientated systems. Eligible solar thermal collectors must have a minimum area of 100 m². financial support is offered for the system itself and for accompanying research. Non-repayable grants covering up to 50% of the investment cost are provided to public institutions, foundations, public utilities, property companies and private companies.
