Important message for WDS users

The IEA has discontinued providing data in the Beyond 2020 format (IVT files and through WDS). Data is now available through the .Stat Data Explorer, which also allows users to export data in Excel and CSV formats.

Energy Decree

With the passing of the Federal Energy Decree in 1991, electricity companies were obliged to buy electricity from renewable sources produced by private companies at a fixed rate of CHF 0.15 in the annual average. The power limit (for hydropower plants only) was set at 1 MW.
