The IEA has discontinued providing data in the Beyond 2020 format (IVT files and through WDS). Data is now available through the .Stat Data Explorer, which also allows users to export data in Excel and CSV formats.

The goal of this law was to facilitate the integration of renewable energy and the environmental and socio-economic aspects of energy. The program offered grants/aids for industrial research and technology demonstration programmes. In 2000, a total of 105 projects received grants, while in 2001, a total of 54 projects received grants. The grants were mainly non-refundable loans and, in some cases, subsidies.
