The IEA has discontinued providing data in the Beyond 2020 format (IVT files and through WDS). Data is now available through the .Stat Data Explorer, which also allows users to export data in Excel and CSV formats.

Subsidies for the Purchase of Low Emission Cars

The government introduced in January 2001 a grant scheme to promote the purchase of vehicles producing low CO2 emissions. The scheme aims to incite people to buy cars with CO2 emissions below an average value of 95 g/km (corresponding to a fuel consumption of 3-3.5 litres/100km).
