The IEA has discontinued providing data in the Beyond 2020 format (IVT files and through WDS). Data is now available through the .Stat Data Explorer, which also allows users to export data in Excel and CSV formats.

Enhanced Nationally Determined Contribution

Pursuant to its 2022 Enhanced Nationally Determined Contribution (“NDC”) under the Paris Agreement, Indonesia has committed to a 31.89% (unconditional) and 43.20% (conditional) reduction in GHG emissions by 2030 compared to a “business as usual” scenario. In addition, as part of its 2021 Long-Term Strategy for Low Carbon and Climate Resilience 2050 (“LTS-LCCR”), Indonesia has committed to achieve net-zero emissions by 2060. While these reduction targets expressly cover methane, Indonesia’s NDC and LTS-LCCR do not contain any measure relating to methane abatement in the fossil fuel sector.
