Royal Decree 1369/2007 (19th October 2007) sets forth the ecodesign requirements to be applied to energy-using products for their functioning, from now on to be called (EuPs), with a view to contributing to sustainable development and the preservation of the environment through an increase of energy efficiency, a decrease of pollution and an increase in the security of energy supply. This Royal Decree transposes Directive 2005/32/EC, establishing a legal framework to lay down the ecodesign requirements to be applied to energy-using products.
