The IEA has discontinued providing data in the Beyond 2020 format (IVT files and through WDS). Data is now available through the .Stat Data Explorer, which also allows users to export data in Excel and CSV formats.

The Vehicle Technologies Office aims to develop and accelerate the deployment of clean and efficient vehicle technologies and renewable fuels. The programme works with industry, universities, and state and local governments. Programme activities include research, development, demonstration, testing, technology validation, technology transfer, and education.Technology focus areas include alternative fuel and electric drive advanced technology vehicles and related fueling/charging infrastructure; idling reduction for commercial trucks and buses; expanded use of non-petroleum and renewable fuels; hybrid vehicles; driving practices for improved efficiency; and engine/vehicle technologies that maximize fuel economy. The Program also supports, and works through, two major government-industry partnerships: U.S. DRIVE and the 21st Century Truck Partnership.
