Important message for WDS users

The IEA has discontinued providing data in the Beyond 2020 format (IVT files and through WDS). Data is now available through the .Stat Data Explorer, which also allows users to export data in Excel and CSV formats.

2024 Export Controls

On 30 May 2024, the Chinese government implemented new restrictions of export, subjecting some items to export permission:

  • Equipment, software and technology related to the manufacturing of aerospace structures and engines, including commodities with HS code 8203200010, 8204110010, 8204120010, 8205400010, 8205900010, 8206000010, 8480419010, 7326901910.
  • Equipment, software and technology related to gas turbine engine/gas turbine manufacturing, including 8454301010, 8454309010.
  • Space suit window-related equipment, software and technology, including 8480719020.
  • Items related to ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fibers, including 5402491010, 5501900010, 5503909010.


Export licensing procedures apply, in accordance with relevant regulations.
