Fund for Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction, Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Energy
The most recent intervention aimed at promoting measures for reducing GHG emissions, increasing energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources is the "Revolving Kyoto Fund". The fund has been implemented by the Ministerial Decrees of 25 November 2008 and November 17, 2009, intended to grant loans for interventions in the field of renewable energy, energy efficiency, research and forest management. The total amount of the Revolving Fund is 600 million, distributed in three annual installments of 200 million Euros each. The Fund is "rotary", since it feeds through the repayments of loans. This fund has never been made operational.
