The IEA has discontinued providing data in the Beyond 2020 format (IVT files and through WDS). Data is now available through the .Stat Data Explorer, which also allows users to export data in Excel and CSV formats.

EUR 450 million: Use of windfall from taxes on energy companies' excess profits to serve as subsidy for household heating

The Austrian government will use the windfall from taxes on energy companies' extra profits (EUR 500 million) to help citizens pay their heating bills and housing costs.

Of EUR 500 million, EUR 450 million will be distributed to Austria’s nine states so they assist citizens with their heating bills, though states can modify the scheme largely at will.
