VAT reduction on electricity (19% to 9%).

From 1/11/2021 to 31/8/2022, a reduction in the VAT rate on electricity consumption:

• 19% to 5% for vulnerable households (domestic pricing with codes 08 and 56B)
• 19% to 9% for other types of households. 

The above arrangement was terminated on 31 August 2022 with a total estimated cost of around €64 million, and was replaced by the electricity cost subsidy.
