Executive Decree No. 08-312, 2008

Executive Decree 08-312 establishes rules regarding the Hydrocarbon Regulation Authority (ARH)’s approval of environmental impact assessments for hydrocarbon-related activities. It specifically mentioned that environmental impact assessments must include measures to eliminate, reduce, or compensate environmental impacts from flaring or venting.
