Support for greener homes loan and grants programmes under 2030 Emissions Reduction Plan

Under the 2030 Emissions reduction plan, additional provisions will be provided for the Greener Homes Loan Program. CAD 458.5 million is made available to help Canadians reduce emissions through renovations for heating and cooling systems.  The Canada Greener Homes Grant offers up to $5,000 to help homeowners cover the costs of eligible energy-efficient home retrofits, plus up to $600 for pre- and post-retrofit EnerGuide evaluations. The Canada Greener Homes Loan provides interest-free financing up to $40,000 for homeowners to undertake energy-efficient upgrades recommended by an energy advisor.
