Electricity regulations for compulsory norms and standards for reticulation services (R. 773 of the Electricity Regulation Act - 4/2006)

The regulation includes mandates for installing:

- Energy efficient lighting fittings.

- Remote control of water heating and HVAC units.

- Smart metering system for monthly consumers of above 1,000 kWh (no later than July 2012), so that Time of Use tariff can be enabled for them.
