Important message for WDS users

The IEA has discontinued providing data in the Beyond 2020 format (IVT files and through WDS). Data is now available through the .Stat Data Explorer, which also allows users to export data in Excel and CSV formats.

Budget 2021 (spring) - Support to local and regional climate measures

In April 2021, the government announced the strengthened local and regional climate measures in the 2021 amending budget as follows:         

- Climate adaptation to improve knowledge on climate change with an increased allocation by SEK 40 million   

- Supporting the county administrative boards to promote regional measures to contrast climate change with a SEK 20 million budget   

- Preventive measures for plastic waste reduction with a total of SEK 20 million (SEK 10 million to strengthen information and knowledge-raising initiatives, and additional SEK 10 million to strengthen beach cleaning in municipalities and green recovery)   

- SEK 10 million were invested in job creation in nature conservation, outdoor life, and biodiversity for young people.
