The IEA has discontinued providing data in the Beyond 2020 format (IVT files and through WDS). Data is now available through the .Stat Data Explorer, which also allows users to export data in Excel and CSV formats.

Promoting the use of biofuels in the transport sector

In 2019, the quota obligation was extended and tightend for the period 2021-2030. Physical share of biofuel energy content in all fuels sold for road transport increases gradually from 18 % in 2021 to 30 % in 2029.A bill to include e-fuels and biogas when calculating the required share is being prepared.
